As the snow seems to be quickly melting, Lando did some riding around here, trying to make sure that he used up any patch of good snow that was left!

Carstairs Mud Bogs

This past weekend found The Sled Parlor Inc. competing in the annual Carstairs ATV Mud Bogs. Landon on his 2007 Can-am Renegade 800 with NOS flew past the competition to win the Modified class! Landon was very happy with his choice of Aerostar Paddle Tires, that allowed him to hydroplane over allot of the Bog. If you have a Can-am you want to get more power out of give us a call!

Mud Boggs

Come on down this Sunday July 19th to the 2nd Annual Thrill Billy Mud Boggs, and Motocross races. They will be held in Carstairs at the Rodeo grounds. Registration for the Motocross and ATVcross is from 7:00am-8:30am, and Registration for the Mud boggs is between 7:00am-11:00am. Registration is $25/class.

If you just want to show up as a spectator the Motocross begins at 9:00am, and the Mud Boggs around 12:30. Admission is $5.

Carstairs Parade and Rodeo

Bring your family on down to Carstairs this Saturday July 18th for the Beef and Barley Parade. Starts at 11:00am, and is followed by a Rodeo at 1:00pm. It's one of the small towns that still throw candy for the kids.

We just installed these ITP SS212 Chrome Rims with XTR tires on a Customers Machine.

This month the new SS312 Rims will be available. ITP has finally built a 15" Rim. Think of all your options now with so many 15" Automotive tires out there!

We now sell Collett communicators. Landon did allot of research before we decided which Communicators we wanted to stock, and Collett won. These communicators are made for snowmobiling so they are water proof. You can hook up ipods, and cell phones to them. They are voice activated so you do not have to push a button when you want to talk. Landon and his friend tried them out, and were very happy.
They fit in all types of helmets, and they can be removed easily.

ABS Avalanche air bags have been on the market for 25years in Switzerland, and are becoming more and more popular around here for people who are into snowmobiling and skiing. Landon has had an ABS backpack for 3 years, and though he has not had to use it yet, as a wife it gives me some extra comfort when I know he is heading for the hills. The ABS Avalanche air bags have been around for a long time, and they have saved people’s lives!

Sunday Ride

We have been very busy around here! The phones are ringing off the hook, the emails are pouring in, and the parking lot is so full of customers vehicles that Landon's dad is having a hard time getting the tractor out of the Quonset so he can feed the cows! We did, and always do take Sundays off, (also every other Saturday) so Landon was able to get together with some of his friends for a Sunday ride. Thanks George for the great pictures!

Well The Sled Parlor is up and running after taking a few days off for the new year. Business is busier than ever as it seems that allot of you had run In's with rocks, and stumps! Sounds like the good riding is in Revelstoke. Golden is not so good... but it has been great for business. We are trying our best to keep up with emails and phone calls, but there are only two of us, and we are run off our feet. Getting extra blogs up has dropped to the bottom of the list.

Avalanche Beacons

We now have Ortovox Avalanche beacons in stock.

The d3 digital:
This avalanche beacon is easy to handle because of the digital function. It has Precise pinpoint search due to 3- antennae technology, and a scan function to indicate several buried persons. This is a great beacon for beginners and advanced users. When I used it (just to practice) I liked that the digital display told me how many meters ahead I needed to go. Comes with its own case. This is a very reasonably priced model.

The S1:
This is Ortovox’s higher end model, and once again it is good for beginners and professionals. This reflects the actual situation in the avalanche field. It has exact, efficient pinpoint search with indication of depth of buried persons. It can show you multiple locations of persons buried in the avalanche. This model also comes with its own case.
